Anderson remains committed to working with local residents and businesses so that the proposals for this Area
of Major Change strike an appropriate and balanced response to the Local Plan’s policy requirements
for commercial-led development and supporting green infrastructure.
We have therefore read and considered residents’ feedback to this application carefully and will look to
revise proposals for the Parcel A area in particular. To facilitate this, we have formally withdrawn the
current application so that amended proposals can be re-submitted in due course. The revisions will
seek to address concerns raised about the proximity of new commercial units to existing houses and
also temper the amount of HGV movements generated and sustained by the scheme.
Residents will be notified of the resubmission by the City Council and this will provide details of how to
comment on the proposals. We shall supplement that notification via a follow-up letter to this
correspondence and will, in the meantime, continue to liaise closely with local residents and their
